Sachdeva’s practice explores the layered realities of womanhood and questions long-standing ideas about how women should look, act and exist within society. Drawing from personal experience, her work also reflects broader social pressures affecting women.

The works in the exhibition span multiple series and address themes including weight gain, aging and marriage. They also examine companionship and stability alongside quiet compromise and the recalibration of individuality within shared life.

Sachdeva’s figures are often voluminous and unposed. Through these representations, the works challenge conventional ideas of beauty and grace while reflecting on dignity, agency and identity.

The exhibition also engages with themes that resonate within diasporic communities, including questions of womanhood, marriage, social conditioning and cultural perception.
