Mindy Kaling to feature as guest shark on Shark Tank S18
The actor, writer and producer is among several high-profile entrepreneurs and creators joining the business reality series this fall.

Indian American actor, writer and producer Mindy Kaling will join ABC's Shark Tank as a guest Shark for Season 18.
ABC announced July 7 that Kaling will appear alongside YouTube creator Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, Beast Industries CEO Jeffrey Housenbold, former NFL star J.J. Watt, entrepreneurs Erin and Sara Foster, and British entrepreneur Steven Bartlett as guest Sharks for the new season.

Kaling, an Emmy-nominated writer, producer, actor and author, is best known for creating and producing hit television series including The Mindy Project, Never Have I Ever, The Sex Lives of College Girls, and the upcoming Not Suitable for Work. Her addition marks another high-profile role beyond entertainment, reflecting her growing influence as a creator and entrepreneur.
ABC also announced that entrepreneur Kendra Scott and venture capitalist Rashaun Williams have been promoted to permanent Sharks. They will join returning investors Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Lori Greiner, Daymond John, Daniel Lubetzky and Kevin O'Leary for the new season.
Based on the Japanese format Dragons' Den, Shark Tank features entrepreneurs pitching their businesses and products to a panel of self-made investors in hopes of securing funding and strategic partnerships. The series is produced by MGM Television, a division of Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Sony Pictures Television.
Season 18 will air Wednesdays on ABC this fall, with the premiere date to be announced later. Episodes will also stream on Hulu after their broadcast
