Professor Khyati Joshi, wife of Democratic Congressional Candidate John Bartlett for New Jersey, is one of the leading voices in support of Bartlett's candidature. In his latest campaign video, the second TV advertisement by Bartlett, Joshi stars as the show-stopper campaigner.

Titled, 'My Husband', the video shows Joshi appealing to voters for support. She says “Jersey has enough politicians who put self service over public service. Only looking out for themselves.”

She added, “We know the stories. I’m tired of them, I know you are too. John’s different.”

Joshi is a professor of education at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She holds expertise in immigrant and second-generation Americans in K-12 education, religion in schools, multicultural education, race in America, immigrant religious communities, and the racialization of religion. Dr. Joshi teaches courses at FDU such as The Multicultural Classroom, Final Project (Capstone Research Course), Religion in Schools and Society, Race, Religion and the Law, and World Religions in America.

She earned her doctorate in social justice education from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She holds a graduate degree from Emory University and has pursued post-graduate studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Joshi highlighted her husband's achievements in the video and remarked, "He defeated Trump in the Supreme Court to protect immigrants, protected public health workers from RFK Jr.’s cuts, and defeated the Republican party in court to protect our right to vote. Believe me when I tell you he’s someone North Jersey can count on. And I’d say that even if he weren’t my husband."

Bartlett is a county commissioner and voting rights attorney running in the special election to represent New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District. He recently made a special appeal to Indian-American voters and urged the community to vote for him.
