Jigar Thakkar, a former-Microsoft VP, has been hired by Amazon Web Services to lead its new Amazon Quick Suite product. Thakkar has been tasked with leading his team in building a portfolio of agenetic applications and services for its business users.
Thakkar moved to AWS from New York based Financial Services company, MSCI. A seven year veteran of MSCI, he served as the company's Chief Technology Officer & Head of Engineering position. Prior to that, he had spent close to 20 years at Microsoft, growing from being a software developer to being appointed as its Corporate Vice President in 2017.

Talking to CRN news, Amazon confirmed Thakkar's appointment and noted, “Jigar brings over 25 years of experience driving digital transformation and engineering excellence across global financial services and major technology platforms.”
The company added, “He spent nearly 20 years at Microsoft, where he was the founding engineering leader for Microsoft Teams.”
In his new role, Thakkar will lead Amazon Quick Suite, the company’s new AI-powered digital workspace for AWS designed to help businesses and users find insights, automate tasks, and take actions across enterprise applications.
Thakkar holds a Bachelor's degree from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a Master's degree from the University of Southern California.
