Indian origin Republican Chandra Yadav among Pardoned for 2020 election plot
Yadav can still be prosecuted by the State authorities as the Presidential pardon is limited to federal charges.

In a significant show of faith towards his allies and supporters, President Donald Trump has issued pardons to Indian American Republican Party activist Chandra Yadav and dozens of Trump's republican allies and supporters, in the cases against them for an alleged attempt to overturn the 2020 Presidential elections.
The list of pardoned republicans is extensive and includes names like Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadow, along with Yadav. The pardon was issued on Nov. 10 and claimed to have ended "a grave national injustice".
Chandra Yadav serves as a member of the Georgians First Commission under the office of the Governor of Georgia. A business owner from Camden county, he also serves as a chair of Kingsland Tourism; Vice Chair of Kingsland Development Authority (KDA); as a board member of the Camden Partnership, and as Secretary on Coin-Operated Amusement Machine (COAM) Board.
A long term Republican, Yadav has an engineering degree from B. N. College of Engineering in Maharashtra and a Master's in Business Administration from Valdosta State University in Georgia.
The pardons, however, are merely symbolic as they are pre-emptive and limited to federal charges. Critics note that the pardons lack teeth because federal agencies were not going to prosecute them even if the President had not issued such a proclamation. Also, the states are still free to prosecute.
Sharing a complete list of the pardoned individuals from his personal X account, U.S. Pardon Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr. described it as "Important pardon of Alternate Electors of 2020!!"

Highlighting the significance of the Pardon's, Trump’s Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said, "These great Americans were persecuted and put through hell by the Biden Administration for challenging an election, which is the cornerstone of democracy”.
