Adventures Overland, an India-based self-drive expedition company, has opened its first U.S. office as it seeks to expand its presence among Indian American travelers.

The company said the move will allow it to offer trip consultations, travel planning support and cultural expertise for customers interested in overland journeys in India and other destinations worldwide.

For the past six years, Adventures Overland has been recognized as India's Leading Tour Operator at the World Travel Awards. The company said the U.S. expansion is aimed at serving the growing Indian American community while making its portfolio of expeditions more accessible to U.S.-based travelers.

“Breaking into the U.S. market is a milestone we’ve been excited about for years,” said Sanjay Madan, co-founder of Adventures Overland. “Indian Americans have a strong sense of adventure and a deep connection to India. We’re thrilled to bring our signature hospitality, passion for driving, and decades of expedition expertise directly to them.”

The company offers guided expeditions to destinations including Spiti Valley in the Indian Himalayas, Morocco, Mongolia, Iceland and South America.

“Our U.S. office allows us to serve travelers here with the same operations team that has executed every expedition since day one,” said co-founder Tushar Agarwal. “Whether someone wants to rediscover India through the Himalayas or explore the world with us, they can trust they’re in the hands of the team that built our award-winning reputation.”

Julie Fishman, U.S. partner and general manager, said the company intends to provide American travelers with the same level of service that has supported its operations globally.

“Indian Americans deserve a travel company that understands their roots, their expectations, and their spirit of adventure,” Fishman said. “I’m here to make sure our U.S. travelers receive the same exceptional service, care, and attention to detail that Adventures Overland is known for worldwide.”

Among the itineraries being promoted in the U.S. market is the Indian Himalayas Overland Expedition, an 11-day journey through Spiti Valley and the high mountain passes of northern India. Other global expeditions will also be available to U.S.-based travelers, the company said.

Founded by Madan and Agarwal, Adventures Overland specializes in self-drive expeditions across India and international destinations. Its flagship offering, The Road to London, is a 65-day self-drive journey from Delhi to London covering about 10,000 miles and crossing 20 international borders. The company said it has operated the expedition for eight seasons.
