Indian American couple Bharat and Neerja join Gates-Buffett Giving Pledge

Desai and Sethi are among 11 new signatories—eight couples and three individuals who committed in the past year to donate the majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes.

Indian-origin entrepreneurs Bharat Desai and Neerja Sethi have joined the Giving Pledge, a global philanthropic initiative founded by Bill Gates, Melinda French Gates, and Warren Buffett. The announcement came as the initiative marked its 15th anniversary this week.

Desai and Sethi are among 11 new signatories—eight couples and three individuals—who committed in the past year to donate the majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes. The Giving Pledge now includes over 250 individuals and families from 30 countries.
