India's TVS Supply Chain Solutions (TVS SCS) has formed a joint venture with Italy-based ALA Group to provide aerospace and defense supply chain services in India, marking a new collaboration between companies from two countries seeking closer industrial ties.
The agreement was signed in Chennai and will establish a dedicated platform focused on supply chain management for aerospace and defense programs. The joint venture will initially focus on opportunities in India, with the possibility of expanding into other markets in the future.
Under the partnership, TVS SCS and ALA Group will offer services across production and aftermarket operations, including production support, spare parts distribution, inventory management, defense logistics, maintenance support, and repair and overhaul services.

TVS SCS, part of the TVS Group, said the collaboration combines its logistics network and operational presence in India and the Asia-Pacific region with ALA's aerospace and defense expertise and relationships with global manufacturers and operators.
"ALA brings deep domain expertise, strong global customer relationships and proven capabilities in specialized aerospace and defense supply chain solutions," R. Dinesh, executive chairman of TVS Supply Chain Solutions, said in a statement. "Together, we are building a scalable and future-ready platform for global aerospace and defense companies to serve Indian requirements."
The partnership comes as India continues to expand domestic manufacturing under the government's Make in India initiative and increase investments in defense modernization. The country has emerged as one of the world's fastest-growing aerospace and defense markets, attracting global companies seeking to participate in local production and supply chains.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the agreement, ALA Group executive Mauro Romano described the venture as a reflection of growing strategic cooperation between India and Italy in defense and industrial manufacturing.
He said the joint venture would support Indian defense programs, help meet offset obligations, and provide localized supply chain capabilities while remaining connected to global aerospace networks.
Founded in Italy, ALA Group specializes in aerospace and defense supply chain management and works with manufacturers and operators across Europe, the United States and the United Kingdom. The company operates in multiple countries and provides logistics, inventory management and procurement services to aerospace customers.
For TVS SCS, the agreement strengthens its presence in a sector expected to see significant growth in the coming years as India seeks to expand indigenous manufacturing capabilities and deepen partnerships with international aerospace and defense firms.
The companies said the joint venture will focus on creating integrated supply chain solutions to support both commercial aerospace and defense customers operating in the Indian market.
