Fintech veteran Milind Nagnur appointed Fiserv CTO

The company believes that Nagnur's appointment will strengthen its leadership team at a time when it expands its banking and financial technology operations.

Wisconsin-based IT services and consulting company Fiserv has appointed Indian American engineer Milind Nagnur as the chief technology officer of its Financial Institutions Group.

The company believes that Nagnur's appointment will strengthen its leadership team at a time when it expands its banking and financial technology operations.

Nagnur notes, in his new role, he would be focusing on enabling real-time payments, data-driven decision-making and secure financial processing systems, and use his skills to advance the company's commerce and financial services by combining technology innovation with financial domain expertise to simplify and modernize financial experiences globally.

Nagnur moved to Fiserv with over two decades of industry experience, leaving his CTO position at Optum Financial. Nagnur has also served in leadership positions in numerous companies, including Indian brand Kotak Mahindra, apart from top global players like Early Warning, Wells Fargo, Citi and JPMorgan Chase.

At Kotak Mahindra Bank, he served as president and chief technology officer, leading the bank’s digital and technology transformation initiatives.

According to the company, Nagnur will oversee technology strategy and innovation for Fiserv’s Financial Institutions Group, focusing on modernizing banking platforms and advancing digital financial solutions for clients.

A graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Nagnur is widely recognized for his expertise in large-scale transaction systems, digital banking infrastructure, cybersecurity and financial technology modernization.
