Bhardwaj graduated from Camosun College in 2023 and has since built a career in human resources, leading people and organizational development initiatives across sectors including natural resources, public services and unionized manufacturing. She currently works as a human resources generalist and has continued to pursue professional development alongside her career, the college said.

Originally from India, Bhardwaj moved to Canada in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic after earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology. At Camosun, she became actively involved in student leadership and advocacy, serving on the board of directors of the Camosun College Student Society and supporting efforts to promote inclusion and representation on campus.

In 2023, she received the Lieutenant Governor’s Medal for Inclusion, Democracy and Reconciliation, recognizing her academic accomplishments and service contributions.

Since graduation, Bhardwaj has continued to expand her expertise, earning the Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation in 2025. She has also completed advanced leadership certifications and specialized trauma-informed training programs aimed at strengthening her leadership and workplace development skills.

Camosun College president Dr. Lane Trotter congratulated Bhardwaj on the recognition, praising her dedication to community engagement and continuous learning. He said her leadership demonstrates a commitment to serving others with both compassion and professional excellence.

Reflecting on the award, Bhardwaj said, “We’re navigating tremendous change in technology, the workforce, and education. While change can be hard, but don’t let it overwhelm you. Stay curious, do your research and resist the urge to map out your entire life at once. Take things one day at a time, don’t worry too much about the future and trust your path will unfold as it should be.”

The college said Bhardwaj exemplifies the values of service, leadership and lifelong learning that the Promising Alumni Award seeks to celebrate.
