Dr. SV Anchan, the chairman of maritime company, Safesea Group, has been awarded the ACE Global Bridges 2026 Global Maritime Personality For Performance & Leadership Award by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) along with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Washington-based ACE Health Foundation.
Anchan, an industry veteran, was awarded for his leadership role in the sector on Feb. 8, in an event hosted by the Bahrain Chamber, as per a report by CEO Insights.

During the ceremony, the top maritime executive expressed gratitude over being able to meet top leaders, "enhancing ties, reinforcing partnerships, and creating significant collaboration together." He added that such occasions motivate industry leaders to give more, strive harder, and elevate individual standards even further within their own sectors.
Anchan also committed to working "tirelessly to convert these opportunities into concrete, real results—day after day.
SV Anchan stands as a third generation maritime industrialist and was the inaugural recipient of the highest NRI shipping honor, “Shipping Pravasi Award” by the Government of India.
