Colorado firm launches Reading Initiative in India

Seeking to benefit 10 million people globally, it plans to establish 30,000 digital reading hubs in India.

Future BookSea Technology, a Colorado-based digital reading and cultural innovation company, has announced the official launch of its 'Global Reading Initiative', covering India, Southeast Asia, and several African countries.

The initiative is designed to promote reading equality, inclusive education, and cross-cultural exchange through digital technology. In its first phase, it seeks to benefit 10 million people from multiple Asian and African countries, including India.

As part of the Global Reading Initiative, FBT will provide digital reading devices and e-book packages to underserved areas, along with multilingual AI learning tools to help users overcome language barriers and access equal education opportunities.

In India, the company plans to establish 30,000 digital reading hubs that support local language learning and vocational education programs. This is expected to create 1 million local jobs within the next two years.

FBT’s Head of Public Affairs highlighted the significance of bringing the project to India and said, “India is a vital part of our global strategy. The company has established a regional operations center in Karnataka and used partnerships with universities and community organizations, to launch the “Read & Work” initiative, offering training programs in digital publishing and cultural management to empower young professionals.

FBT plans to expand its reach to 50 countries and regions by 2026, building a global reading ecosystem.
