Rakhi Israni, who announced her campaign for California’s 14th Congressional District just a week prior, has received the endorsement of Dublin City Councilmember John Morada.
Israni, based in Fremont, is an Indian American attorney and educator, and has experience as a volunteer executive for a faith-based humanitarian organization, while being an active part of local interfaith councils and national non-profit boards.

Morada’s endorsement comes on the heels of the Israni Campaign’s launch and subsequent announcement of one million dollars raised and the endorsement of District Attorney Jeff Rosen.
“In our next member of Congress we need someone ready and able to walk the hallways with our community’s pressing needs,” said Morada.
“She has proven credentials through academic and professional success that allows her to address key District issues such as housing affordability, education stability, and an aging infrastructure, with logical diligence that creates fair policies for her community,” added the Councilmember.
Israni, who is running for California’s 14th Congressional District, an Alameda County-based Congressional district, which is home to over 42,000 registered Indian voters, mentioned that she is honoured to receive Councilmember Morada’s endorsement and said,
“I am honored to and am eager to get to work with him both in this campaign and once we make it to DC. In John I will have a partner who will provide detailed and thoughtful consideration regarding the needs of the community.”
California’s 14th Congressional District spans much of the East and South Bay area, extending west into the Tri-Valley region of Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton. It is nearly 50 percent in Democratic registration, with Republican registration at 17 percent.
