Defying the storm: Yuvraj Singh ignites unbreakable Indian spirit at INDIA FEST 2025 in the Chicago Metropolitan Area

The event was organized by The National India Hub, a volunteer-led nonprofit organization, which operates over 80 service groups.

Over 3,000 participants and more than 70 organisations braved heavy rain and strong winds to celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day at India Fest 2025 in the Chicago Metropolitan area on Aug. 24, organisers said.

Cricket legend Yuvraj Singh attended the festivities and praised the Indian American community for their dedication. “What I witnessed here today is nothing short of extraordinary—the true spirit of India, celebrated with courage, love, and unity, even in the toughest weather,” Singh said.
