Indian Americans Deepak Chopra and Poonacha Machaiah are set to host the Sages & Scientists Symposium 2025, a three-day event that will bring together leaders in science, technology, and consciousness studies.

The symposium will take place from Dec. 5 to 7, at the Amrit Ocean Resort on Singer Island, Florida. This year’s theme, “Where Technology Evolves and Humanity Awakens,” will focus on the convergence of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, longevity research, and consciousness.

“In an age of rapid innovation, our greatest breakthrough is remembering what it means to be human — to merge intelligence with empathy, and knowledge with wisdom,”  author and physician Chopra said in a statement announcing the event.

“This symposium is a sanctuary for those shaping the future, where AI meets empathy, and technology serves consciousness,” co-founder and CEO of Cyberhuman.ai, Machaiah added.

Speakers scheduled to attend include A.R. Rahman (Academy Award–winning composer), Shekhar Kapur (filmmaker), Chandrika Tandon (Grammy-winning musician), Bessel van der Kolk, (The Body Keeps the Score), Dimitar Sasselov, (Harvard University), Rudolph Tanzi, (Harvard Medical School), Jordan Poyer (NFL), Charles Rosier (Augustinus Bader), David Ghiyam (spiritual and business leader), and Bharat Anand, (dean of NYU Stern School of Business).

The program will include panels and wellness sessions on topics such as AI ethics, mental health and resilience, longevity, performance, and planetary well-being.

A charity golf event associated with the symposium will be held at the PGA National Resort, in support of the A.R. Rahman Foundation, which provides music education for underprivileged youth. Rahman will attend both the symposium and the charity event.

The Sages & Scientists Symposium serves as a platform for dialogue between science and spirituality, exploring the impact of emerging technologies on human consciousness and society.
