Trump's new $100,000 yearly fee for H-1B visas will negatively impact the United States

September 2025 42 views 1:06

Panic, confusion and anger reigned as workers on H-1B visas from India and China were forced to abandon travel plans and rush back to the U.S. after President Donald Trump imposed new visa fees, in line with his wide-ranging immigration crackdown. Shanghai-based analyst Kent Kedl of Blue Ocean Advisors, however, said that Trump's new $100,000 yearly fee for H-1B visas will negatively impact the United States and create a "net benefit" for China.
