Indian-American cybersecurity veteran Anand Singh has announced the release of his new book titled Data Security in the Age of AI – A Guide to Securing Data and Reducing Risk in an AI-Driven World.
The book, set to release on September 23, 2025, provides a practical and timely guide for professionals navigating the rising security challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
As AI becomes more deeply integrated into how businesses operate, it also creates new vulnerabilities that traditional security systems are not equipped to handle. Through his book, Singh, chief security and strategy officer at Symmetry Systems, addresses this gap by offering real-world strategies and clear guidance to help organizations secure their data, reduce risk, and maintain trust in an AI-driven digital environment.
Drawing from his decades of experience, Singh emphasizes the need for organizations to rethink traditional approaches and build systems that are resilient, compliant, and ready for AI-related threats such as prompt injection, shadow AI, and model poisoning.
“We're incredibly proud and supportive of Singh's contribution to the cybersecurity field. This book reflects not only his deep expertise but also our company's commitment to advancing industry knowledge and helping organizations navigate the complex security challenges of the AI era. Singh's insights, drawn from his extensive experience and his work here at Symmetry Systems, will be invaluable to security professionals worldwide,” said Mohit Tiwari, CEO of Symmetry Systems.
Before joining Symmetry Systems, Singh served as the chief information security officer at Alkami Technology, where he led the company’s cybersecurity strategy through its IPO and a period of rapid expansion. His previous leadership roles include senior security positions at Caliber Home Loans, OptumInsight (a part of UnitedHealth Group), and the e-commerce division of Target Corporation.
He holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Minnesota, an M.S. from Purdue University, and a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology.
