BAPS Charities organized a career fair in Houston on Aug.30, 2025, attracting over 200 students, parents, and young professionals. The event featured more than 35 professional specialties, including healthcare, engineering, business, finance, law, and information technology.
Attendees interacted with experts who provided guidance on career pathways, higher education options, and professional entry processes. The fair also included workshops on college applications and career planning, as well as a professional headshot booth for students and professionals preparing resumes and LinkedIn profiles.
Participants took advantage of one-on-one discussions with specialists in areas such as medical residencies, engineering tracks, IT certifications, finance, and law. “As a biology major, the career fair allowed me to connect with physicians from radiology, internal medicine, neurology, and gastroenterology, along with a current medical school student,” said attendee Krish Panchal. “This gave me insight into many different specialties.”
High school students and parents highlighted the value of direct engagement. “The career fair clarified some confusion I had on the college application process,” said Nirja Patel, a high school senior and aspiring aerospace engineer. “It also helped being able to meet and hear experiences from female engineers.”
Parents also noted the benefit of shared experiences. “Connecting with other parents and understanding our role in supporting our children’s educational path was truly invaluable,” said Jignesh Patel.
Professionals participating in the fair also discussed the importance of balancing career success with integrity, service, and spirituality.
The event concluded with participants reporting greater clarity about their career options. Organizers said the fair was part of BAPS Charities’ continuing efforts to provide youth with academic and professional guidance.
