As doctor and podcast host Abhay Dandekar practices the art of listening
California pediatrician uses podcast to spotlight diverse journeys across the global Indian diaspora

Dr Abhay Dandekar is a California-based pediatrician with over 25 years of medical experience. However, he is perhaps best known for his podcast Trust Me, I Know What I’m Doing, where he engages in deep conversations with prominent people from the global Indian and South Asian community.
“Like many doctors, I realized very early in my career that I wanted to help people, fix things, and solve problems,” says Dandekar. Born and raised in Los Angeles and educated at Berkeley, he now calls San Francisco’s East Bay home. It was the human element of medicine that taught him the art of listening.
