Amit Singh made president of New York-based travel tech firm

Before joining Fareportal, Singh served as the Chief Financial Officer at Despegar, a leading travel technology company in Latin America.

Fareportal Inc., a New York based travel technology company, has appointmented Amit Singh as its President.

Reporting directly to Fareportal's Board of Directors, Singh will oversee all aspects of operations and strategic direction, driving growth, innovation, and customer excellence across the company's worldwide network.

Before joining Fareportal, Singh served as the Chief Financial Officer at Despegar, a leading travel technology company in Latin America.

Reacting to the Singh's appointment, Board of Directors Member and Chair of the Oversight Committee Brian M. Hand, said in a statement, "Amit is a great addition to our Fareportal team,"

He added, "The Board and I are confident in his ability to strengthen our position as a global travel innovator and create even greater value for our customers, partners, and employees."

Fareportal Vice Chairman Werner Georg Kunz-Cho echoed similar sentiments and said, "With a proven track record of scaling businesses and delivering results in highly competitive markets, Singh is uniquely positioned to accelerate Fareportal's mission of making travel more accessible, seamless, and rewarding for millions of customers worldwide."

Singh holds a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland. He also completed an executive education program for Chief Financial Officers at Harvard Business School.

Singh expressed joy over his appointment and said, "I am honored to join Fareportal Inc., at such a pivotal time"

He added, "Together with the Board, leadership team, and our talented employees, I look forward to building on the company's strong foundation and leading its next chapter of growth and transformation."
