Americans4Hindus (A4H) on May 23 launched its sister organization, Britons4Hindus (B4H), in London, aimed at promoting civic participation, public leadership and democratic engagement among the community.
The event drew more than 300 attendees, including mayors, councillors, elected representatives, community leaders, professionals, youth members and Hindu organizations, a press release noted.

Rajarshi Bhupinder Modi, founder and chairman of the Global Hindu Leaders Forum, attended the launch as chief guest and spoke about the importance of civic engagement and public leadership.
Speaking at the event, Modi called for greater Hindu participation in politics, governance, education, business and media, and said Bharat should emerge as a “Vishwa Guru” rooted in “Dharma, pluralism, peace, and knowledge.”
Romesh Japra, founder and chairman of Americans4Hindus, highlighted the participation of elected representatives and spoke about the organization’s work in the United States to encourage civic leadership and democratic participation among Hindu Americans.
“It is time for Hindus across the world to move from success to service, from contribution to leadership, and from participation to shaping the future. Civic engagement is not optional – it is a responsibility,” Japra said.
Pramit Maakoday, global president of Americans4Hindus, presented the vision and organizational structure of Britons4Hindus, describing it as an effort to build a “strong, respected, and constructive British Hindu voice” grounded in democratic values and civic responsibility.
During the event, Yash Gupta was installed as president of Britons4Hindus, while Kalpesh Shah was inducted as vice president.
Gupta said he would work toward increasing Hindu participation in civic affairs, public service and leadership development in the United Kingdom. Shah said he would use his networks and resources to help expand the organization’s outreach among British Hindus.
Several elected officials and councillors also addressed the gathering and welcomed the launch of the organization, saying it could encourage greater civic participation and leadership among British Hindus.
The event also featured performances by Bhajan Clubbing, which organizers said added to the atmosphere of cultural celebration and community engagement.
