Yendamuri also serves as a professor of surgery at the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and president and CEO of RPCI Oncology P.C., which manages Roswell Park’s statewide Care Network, expanding access to high-quality cancer treatment across New York.

“It is an honor to be elected as a fellow of this esteemed organization. I hope to continue to learn from other national leaders in surgery and to meaningfully contribute to the impact the organization creates for advancement of surgical care and scholarship,” Yendamuri said.

With more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and several national honors, Yendamuri will be formally introduced at the ASA’s 2026 annual meeting. He holds a medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and an executive MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

The election follows a rigorous 13-month selection process. Founded in 1880, the ASA is dedicated to advancing the science and scholarship of surgery. Membership is extended only to surgeons who demonstrate exceptional contributions to the field through research, leadership, and clinical excellence.
