A new international awards platform focused on Global Indian and international achievers is set to launch in New York later this year, bringing together figures from entertainment, business, technology, and other fields on a single stage.

The AMARA Hall of Fame Awards will debut on Sept. 6, at David Geffen Hall, marking what organizers describe as the first time an Indian and Indo-U.S.-centric awards platform of this scale will be hosted at the venue.

The event aims to recognize contributions across multiple sectors, including cinema, music, fashion, business, technology, sports, comedy, media, literature, medicine, culinary arts, and philanthropy.

Organizers said the platform is designed to bring together leading global figures across industries, positioning itself as a large-scale international awards initiative linking India, the United States, and global audiences.

“The AMARA Hall of Fame Awards is far more than an event—it is the birth of a global institution,” said Kamal Dandona, chairman of the awards. “For the first time, we are bringing together icons, leaders, and visionaries from across the world on one stage in a way that has never been done before, creating a defining moment that will redefine how excellence is celebrated globally.”

The awards are expected to feature performances spanning Bollywood and Hollywood, along with large-scale production elements. Organizers said the event is targeting a global audience across broadcast, digital, and social media platforms, and will host an invited group of industry leaders, celebrities, investors, and brands.

The initiative is backed by an advisory council comprising industry leaders and is positioned as a long-term global institution. Organizers also cited prior experience in staging international award events featuring figures such as Shah Rukh Khan, Michael Jackson, Amitabh Bachchan, Richard Gere, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Sharon Stone.

Further announcements on award recipients, performers, and participants are expected in the lead-up to the event.
