The Association of American Veterinarians of Indian Origin (AAVIO) hosted a continuing education dinner in Plano, Texas, bringing veterinarians together for professional development, networking and industry discussions.
Elanco Animal Health sponsored the event, which was held at Maggiano's Little Italy and provided attendees with one hour of approved Continuing Education credit along with opportunities for professional networking and discussion.

AAVIO president Ravi Murarka thanked attendees for their participation and emphasized the importance of unity within the veterinary community. He said AAVIO's growing membership has helped strengthen relationships with pharmaceutical and diagnostic partners, creating additional benefits and opportunities for members.
Murarka also reiterated the organization's commitment to supporting veterinarians pursuing certification through the Educational Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates (ECFVG) and the Program for the Assessment of Veterinary Education Equivalence (PAVE).
He encouraged established practitioners to mentor aspiring veterinarians by offering guidance and shadowing opportunities.
The Plano meeting featured an educational presentation, discussions among colleagues and networking opportunities. Attendees were able to earn CE credit while reconnecting with peers and expanding their professional networks.
AAVIO thanked Elanco Animal Health for supporting continuing education initiatives and helping advance professional learning opportunities within the veterinary community. The association said such partnerships contribute to the continued growth and development of veterinary professionals across the country.
Founded to support veterinarians of Indian origin in the United States, AAVIO serves as a professional organization focused on education, mentorship and professional development. The association regularly hosts educational and networking events for veterinarians and veterinary students.
