Ayann Patel, a 9-year-old from Maryland, has launched a free online financial literacy and trading course designed to educate children, parents, and beginners on the fundamentals of personal finance and investing.

The course, titled “Pocket Money to Portfolio – Learn How Money Works and Grows,” is designed to make financial education accessible, safe, and engaging for all ages.

Patel’s interest in finance began at the age of four. His personal journey has evolved into a broader educational mission to equip his peers with the knowledge and tools needed for responsible financial decision-making, which includes video lessons, interactive quizzes, and simplified explanations of key financial concepts.

“My world is always changing, and the future can feel uncertain. But financial education stays valuable no matter what. I wanted to help other kids and families understand how money works and build good habits early—starting with pocket money and growing into lifelong savings and investments,” Patel said.

By focusing on fundamental financial principles and encouraging early money management, Patel’s initiative addresses a long-standing gap in education systems that often overlook financial literacy.

The course draws inspiration from national youth programs like The Stock Market Game, showing that children are capable of understanding complex financial topics. It requires no registration, charges no fees, and collects no personal data—ensuring a child-friendly and privacy-conscious learning experience.
