The judges of the coveted Booker Prize have shortlisted Indian author Kiran Desai for the 2025 Booker Prize. The announcement was made at the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall in London, in a public event on Sept. 23.
Desai has been shortlisted for her 2025 novel, 'The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny'. Her work centers around the protagonists Sonia and Sunny, both Indian immigrants in the United States, who have a chance encounter on a train in India.'
