Anurag Mohindru KC, an Indian-origin barrister called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2004, has been disbarred after an independent disciplinary tribunal found he acted dishonestly in a 2012 chambers application. The ruling, announced on Sept. 12, follows proceedings that began on Sept. 8.
The tribunal determined that Mohindru had provided false information on his curriculum vitae by stating he had studied biomedical science and medicine at Oxford University, a claim later found to be untrue. The panel described the conduct as a serious breach of the standards required of members of the Bar.
