Rakhi Bose wins top arts honour in Western Australia

Bose is known for using dance to promote multicultural inclusion and social impact.

Rakhi Bose, an Indian-origin classical dancer, choreographer and cultural educator, has been named Artist of the Year at the 2026 Western Australian Multicultural Awards, as the state kicked off its Harmony Week celebrations.

The annual awards, hosted by the Western Australian government, recognize individuals and organizations for their contributions to multiculturalism and culturally and linguistically diverse communities in the state.
