Grishma Shah / Manhattan University
Manhattan University has named Indian-American academician and author Grishma Shah as the interim dean of the O'Malley School of Business, bringing nearly two decades of academic, administrative and international experience to the position.
Shah, a professor of management whose research focuses on globalization, culture, gender equity, cross-cultural management and social change, has served as associate dean of the business school since 2025. As interim dean, she will lead the School of Business and its undergraduate and graduate programs while advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, experiential learning and global business opportunities.
The university said Shah will also help advance initiatives focused on innovation and entrepreneurship, including efforts involving the broader New York City business community.

“I embark on the interim dean role with the same fervor and passion that have defined my nearly two decades as a faculty member, and more recently, associate dean. My commitment remains the same: giving our students the best possible experience through strong academic rigor and meaningful experiential opportunities that prepare them for the real world,” Shah said in a university statement.
In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Shah serves as Manhattan University's director of Global Business Studies. In that role, she develops international partnerships and oversees faculty-led consulting and study programs across Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Manhattan University president Frederick Bonato said Shah's appointment will help maintain the school's momentum during a period of strategic academic growth in its undergraduate and graduate programs.
“Her appointment ensures the school's continued momentum as it explores initiatives that strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship across the University and within the broader New York City business community,” Bonato said in a statement.
She joined Manhattan University in 2008 after earning a doctorate in global affairs and international business from Rutgers University.
