Hyderabad girl, 25-year-old Bhavitha Mandava, opened for Chanel's Métiers d'Art 2026 show by Matthieu Blazy in New York City, on Dec. 2.
Held at the Bowery Station in New York, Mandava's moment marked a call-back to how she was discovered and introduced to the world of modelling. According to model.com, Bhavitha was scouted at a subway station just two weeks before the Spring/Summer 2025 season.

The walk was made all the more special when the young model's parents were seen cheering for her as she walked down the stairs of the Bowery Station. On December 3, she shared an emotional post showing her teary-eyed parents cheering for her. The caption read, "Can't put into words how much this means to me. Thank you @chanelofficial @matthieu_blazy."
Before making her mark in the world of high fashion, Mandava pursued a degree in architecture from the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad and a degree in design form the New York University.
