Trump launches ‘genesis mission’ to drive AI-led US innovation
The White House said the effort will bring together national laboratories, private industry, universities, research infrastructure, and national security facilities.

US President Donald J. Trump has launched what he called a “historic national effort” to accelerate American leadership in artificial intelligence, establishing a sweeping new federal programme titled the Genesis Mission, according to an Executive Order issued by the White House.
“This order launches the ‘Genesis Mission’ as a dedicated, coordinated national effort to unleash a new age of AI-accelerated innovation and discovery that can solve the most challenging problems of this century,” the President declared in the document.
