US President Donald J. Trump on Sept. 5 used the White House Rose Garden to debut what he called the “Rose Garden Club,” a gathering of lawmakers he praised as steadfast allies, while touting crime reduction in the nation’s capital and promising to extend similar measures to other U.S. cities.
