Shringla Expresses Confidence in India-U.S. Trade Talks, Urges Diaspora to Strengthen Ties

Speaking at a reception hosted by the Indian American Business Impact Group (IAMBIG), Shringla described the India-U.S. partnership as the “defining relationship of the 21st century.”

Former Indian Ambassador to the United States and Rajya Sabha Member Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Aug.26 said that both governments are hopeful of concluding a “mutually beneficial free trade agreement” and exuded confidence that the bilateral relationship would soon regain the high momentum of recent years.

Speaking at a reception hosted by the Indian American Business Impact Group (IAMBIG), Shringla described the India-U.S. partnership as the “defining relationship of the 21st century” and emphasised the vital role the diaspora must play in sustaining it. “This relationship is too important and too vital — not only in geopolitical terms, but also in economic terms,” he told a packed hall of Indian American entrepreneurs and community leaders.
