Mirae Asset Foundation (MAF) was honored with the Hero Humanity Award 2024 by Yuva Unstoppable on Jan.4.
The foundation is part of the Mirae Asset Park Hyeon Joo Foundation in South Korea. MAF's work in India includes providing scholarships to students at all levels of education and partnering with schools, colleges, government agencies, civil society organizations, and other institutions to support various educational initiatives.
The award ceremony, held in Mumbai, was attended by actor Sonu Sood, who presented the award in recognition of MAF’s significant efforts to enhance educational infrastructure in government-run schools across the country.
Yuva Unstoppable is a prominent non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to the empowerment of underprivileged children and youth in India.
The Hero Humanity Award specifically acknowledged MAF’s initiatives aimed at improving learning environments in underfunded schools. These initiatives include the installation of smart classrooms, the introduction of school hygiene programs, and the provision of smart TV panels. These efforts have contributed to creating healthier and more innovative educational spaces for students.
Ritesh Patel, director of Mirae Asset Foundation, was present at the award ceremony to accept the honor.
The foundation's commitment to education aligns with the broader corporate philosophy of Mirae Asset, which has long been dedicated to supporting India’s growth, both economically and socially.
