Far-right commentator Laura Loomer said she will travel to India to speak at the India Today Conclave 2026, drawing criticism on social media due to her frequent posts targeting of Indians and Indian-origin individuals.

In a post on X, Loomer wrote, “See you soon, India! Looking forward to speaking at the India Today Conclave 2026 conference this week!”

The event scheduled for March 13–14 at the Taj Palace hotel in New Delhi, brings together political leaders, business executives, diplomats and public figures for discussions on politics, the economy and global affairs.

Loomer is listed among the speakers for the 2026 edition, where she is described as a “Trump loyalist” and American political activist.

Her reported participation quickly triggered backlash on X, with users circulating screenshots of Loomer’s past posts targeting India and Indians.

One user wrote, “Shame on @IndiaToday for inviting a known racist like @LauraLoomer to the Conclave. Platforming someone who has repeatedly spread hate against Indians is unacceptable. Cancel this now.”

Another widely shared post referenced Loomer’s earlier comments about India, writing, “Indians Do Not Have Toilet Paper Or… Who Is Laura Loomer Making Anti-India Remarks?”

Users also highlighted earlier posts in which Loomer described Indians as “third-world invaders,” questioned their place in the United States and mocked sanitation practices in India. Other widely shared posts included comments attacking Indian professionals working in the United States on H-1B visas.

Loomer has also previously criticized Indian-origin figures in American public life. She attacked the appointment of Indian-American technologist Sriram Krishnan as a senior policy adviser for artificial intelligence, claiming the United States was built by “white Europeans” and not “third world invaders from India.”

During the 2024 U.S. presidential campaign, Loomer sparked outrage after posting that if Kamala Harris defeated Donald Trump, “the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center,” a remark widely condemned across political circles.

Beyond her anti-India remarks, Loomer has built a reputation for promoting controversial and widely disputed claims. She has described herself as a “proud Islamophobe,” promoted conspiracy theories about the September 11 attacks and amplified misinformation related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the QAnon movement.

Born on May 21, 1993, in Tucson, Arizona, Loomer studied broadcast journalism at Barry University and built her public profile through work with platforms such as Project Veritas, Rebel News and InfoWars.

She has twice run for Congress in Florida as a Republican, losing in 2020 to Democrat Lois Frankel and again in 2022 when she lost a Republican primary to Daniel Webster.

Loomer remains active on X and hosts the podcast “Loomer Unleashed” on the video platform Rumble. She is widely seen as a vocal supporter of President Donald Trump and a prominent voice within the “Make America Great Again” political movement.
