Indo-German summit in Stuttgart spotlights AI, robotics and DeepTech
India and Germany explore opportunities in semiconductors, data centers and advanced technology sectors.

The Consulate General of India in Munich and the Stuttgart chapter of the Jain International Trade Organization (JITO) jointly organized the Indo-German Strategic Tech Summit 2026 in Stuttgart on June 22, bringing together business leaders, founders, industry experts and policymakers to discuss technology cooperation between India and Germany.
Consul General of India in Munich Shatrughna Sinha delivered the keynote address at the event, which was held at HK Region Stuttgart. The summit focused on emerging technologies and their role in strengthening economic and industrial ties between the two countries.

Held under the theme "Gold to GIGA: Advancing the New Growth Corridor within Integrated AI Ecosystem," the summit featured discussions on artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, high-tech data centers and Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
The programme was structured around three sessions, including a strategic dialogue, executive panel discussions and an innovation track. Participants examined how India and Germany can expand cooperation in research, innovation, manufacturing and technology development, particularly in sectors expected to play a major role in future economic growth.
In his address, Sinha said collaboration in DeepTech, robotics and artificial intelligence would be an important component of the India-Germany partnership. He linked technological cooperation to India's broader Viksit Bharat 2047 vision, which aims to strengthen innovation, industrial development and global competitiveness.
According to JITO Stuttgart, the summit also provided participants with updates on developments related to the proposed India-European Union Free Trade Agreement and policy measures designed to support innovation-led industries. Discussions focused on opportunities for companies seeking to expand from regional operations into integrated global design, research and manufacturing ecosystems.

The event reflected growing interest in technology partnerships between India and Germany, particularly as both countries seek to strengthen supply chains, encourage industrial innovation and invest in next-generation technologies.
The summit is the latest in a series of technology-focused engagements supported by the Consulate General of India in Munich. Earlier this year, the Consulate partnered with LuminAI Health to host "The AI Dialogue: Global Impact Edition" at the Telefónica O2 Tower in Munich. The event served as Germany's official pre-summit engagement for the Government of India's IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, which was held in New Delhi.
