Indian origin man, Prashant Sreekumar, died of suspected cardiac arrest after he allegedly failed to receive any treatment for several hours at a hospital in Canada on Dec. 22.

44-year-old Sreekumar was rushed to Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Canada's Edmonton after he experienced severe chest pain while at work. However, he was allegedly made to wait for over eight hours before being treated.

In a video that is going viral on social media, his wife says, "He was brought to Gray Mills Hospital by 12.50-12.20. He was sitting in the triage from 12.20 onward till about, I would say 8.50 onward, till about 8.50 in the night. He was sitting in the triage complaining of constant chest pain."

His wife also alleged that Sreekumar's blood pressure kept on rising and yet was prescribed only a Tylenol tablet. Additionally, she also quoted the hospital staff as having claimed that chest pain was considered to be an acute problem.

Sreekumar died shortly after he left the waiting area and went inside the hospital.

His wife alleged, "The hospital administration, the employees of Gray Mills Hospital have basically killed my husband Prashant Sreekumar by not providing him timely medical help. And the security was so rude that instead of addressing the cause, they said ma'am you are being very rude. So basically it is okay for them to kill a human being and to tell the wife that you are being rude.
