Indian Embassy in Yemen marks 1st Republic Day in 10 years

The Indian Embassy in Yemen celebrated India’s 77th Republic Day for the first time in more than 10 years.

The event saw active participation from members of the Indian community, who joined the celebrations with the embassy staff at the embassy office in Aden, which was decorated with the Indian Tricolour all around.

Indian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Ajaz Khan, hosted India’s flag to commemorate the occasion.

The Indian Embassy in Yemen took to their official X account and posted glimpses of the Republic Day celebration, and wrote,

"Flying the Indian Flag High! For the first time in more than 10 years, Republic Day was celebrated in Yemen. The Indian Community joined the Embassy staff at the celebration of #RepublicDay2026 at @IndianEmbRiyadh office in Aden."

The embassy’s milestone celebration hinted towards its renewed commitment to engaging with the Indian community in Yemen, while underscoring the spirit of patriotism among expatriates.
