India-US trade deal awaits Trump’s final nod, says USISPF president

Mukesh Aghi revealed that the deal aligns with the Trump administration’s new trade frameworks, modelled on those signed with Japan, Vietnam, and Cambodia.

A long-pending trade agreement between India and the United States has moved one step closer to reality, pending only the final nod from President Donald Trump, according to Mukesh Aghi, President of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF).

“The Secretary (of) Commerce, Howard Lutnick, and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer have basically sent the proposal to the White House to the President, saying that we recommend moving forward with the deal with India,” Aghi said in an exclusive interview with 5WH.
