Fraud alert: Embassy of India phone lines being spoofed to target citizens

The Embassy urged victims to report such calls on the FBI Portal

The Embassy of India has issued an advisory warning Indian and foreign nationals about phone scams targeting its citizens.

According to the Embassy, fraudsters have been spoofing its telephone lines and impersonating officials in calls aimed at extorting money or obtaining personal information.
