Welcoming IIMA to Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan said the launch reflects the UAE-India partnership and Dubai’s emergence as a global hub for education, talent, and innovation. He emphasized the emirate’s vision to rank among the world’s top three urban economies under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and to become one of the top 10 student cities globally by 2033.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan hailed the inauguration as a “big leap towards the globalization of India’s education system,” noting that the Dubai campus embodies the ethos of being “Indian in spirit, global in outlook.” He described India as a “global hotspot of talent” and the UAE as a “global economic hotspot,” emphasizing their shared commitment to fostering knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The Dubai campus launches with a one-year full-time MBA programme for 35 students from diverse professional backgrounds. The institute also plans to establish two centres of excellence focused on case writing and start-up incubation.

The campus established at the Dubai International Academic City marked a historic milestone in IIMA’s six-decade journey of global expansion. Calling it a proud moment, IIMA chairperson Pankaj Patel and director Bharat Bhasker said the expansion reinforces IIMA’s global footprint and its mission to shape future-ready leaders.

“By establishing a presence in one of the world’s most dynamic hubs for innovation and entrepreneurship, IIMA is extending its global footprint. This step strengthens our commitment to shaping future-ready leaders who can thrive in an interconnected world,” Patel said.

“We are grateful to the Dubai government for extending support in setting up the campus. We see this as a significant step towards shaping a diverse community of leaders who can contribute meaningfully to business and society worldwide,” Bhasker said.

Founded in 1961, IIMA is India’s top-ranked management school with more than 46,000 alumni worldwide and consistently features among leading global business schools in Financial Times rankings.
