Respected Editor,
I am an Indian, from India. I am writing with a heavy heart to request your support in sharing the urgent need for help as floods have devastated many parts of our country. Homes are washed away, families are struggling without food and shelter, and our people are facing the toughest of times.
To all our brothers and sisters living abroad—whether in Canada, UK, US, or anywhere in the world—please remember: you were born in India, and now your people need you. The land that gave you your roots is calling for your support. Even though you live far away, your love for your motherland can travel across oceans in the form of help and compassion.
I humbly appeal to every NRI: if you trust me, I will ensure your donations reach the right place. If you don’t, I still request you to directly support trusted NGOs such as:
• Khalsa Aid
• Hemkunt Foundation
• India’s CM Relief Funds
Every rupee, every dollar, can bring food to a hungry child, medicine to the sick, or shelter to a family. Let us not forget that India is our mother, and when she suffers, her children—wherever they may be—must stand with her.
I also know that writing about this appeal may not give your newspaper much TRP or publicity. But the blessings you receive for amplifying this message will always be greater than TRP. If you write about this and help connect NRIs to those in need, I will heartily thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With gratitude,
An Indian
