Akshar Yoga Kendraa announced plans to attempt 21 Guinness World Records on June 21 as part of International Day of Yoga 2026, with organizers expecting participation from more than 5,000 people from multiple countries.

The initiative, guided by 'Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar,' is scheduled to coincide with International Day of Yoga and is centered on this year's theme, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing."

According to organizers, the event will bring together participants from around the world for what they describe as a coordinated effort to set 21 Guinness World Records in a single day. The program is being organized by Akshar Yoga Kendraa and is expected to involve yoga practitioners and participants from several countries.

Organizers said the initiative is intended to highlight the role of yoga in promoting physical vitality, mental well-being, emotional balance and healthy living across different age groups.

The planned record attempts come as preparations for International Day of Yoga 2026 continue. Organizers said participants from multiple countries are expected to take part in the event, which they said will focus on the practice of yoga and its role in supporting wellness and healthy ageing.

The event is being led by 'Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar,' with organizers saying the record attempts are intended to demonstrate the global reach of yoga and its continued relevance to health and well-being.

The ministry said participation in the June 14 attempt is open to individuals around the world and encouraged people to register through its designated helpline. According to the ministry, each registered device will count toward the official Guinness World Record attempt.

The ministry described the effort as part of broader activities marking International Day of Yoga 2026. Organizers said the initiative aims to encourage participation in yoga-related events and highlight the practice's role in promoting health and well-being.
