Americans4Hindus (A4H), a national, independent, non-partisan organization, announced the launch of four new state chapters during a gathering in New Orleans held alongside the Annual American College of Cardiology Convention.
The expansion in Louisiana, Missouri, Alabama, and Arkansas was announced following a session connected to the American Association of Cardiologists of Indian Origin (AACIO), where A4H leaders outlined the organization’s mission and introduced newly appointed state chapter leaders.

Surendra Purohit and Kiran Zaveri will lead the Louisiana chapter as president and vice president, respectively. In Missouri, Hanumanth Reddy and Geetha Reddy have been named chairpersons and Raghuveer Kura as president.
In Alabama, Subir Paul will serve as president with Navin Nanda as honorary chairman, while the Arkansas chapter will be led by Srini Vengala as president and Sapna Singh Vengala as vice president.
A4H founder and chairman Romesh Japra delivered the keynote address, calling for greater political participation and representation among Hindu Americans. He said the community’s professional achievements should be matched by a stronger presence in governance and public policy.
“While we continue to contribute immensely through our knowledge, skills, and service, it is equally important that our voices are represented in governance and public policy,” Japra said.
Rakesh Sharma, president of Americans4Hindus Florida and president of AACIO, led the formal induction ceremony and urged community members to become more involved in civic and political processes.
The event also highlighted the candidacy of Saritha Komatireddy, who will face incumbent Democratic incumbent, Letitia James, in the upcoming election scheduled for November 3, 2026. Komatireddy won the Republican nomination with 86 percent of the weighted convention vote.
Founded by Japra, Americans4Hindus describes itself as a civic platform focused on increasing political participation among Hindu Americans. The organization said it now has a presence in 33 states following the addition of the four new chapters.
A4H said it plans to establish chapters in all 50 states ahead of the November elections as part of its broader push to expand civic engagement and political participation among Hindu Americans.
