Americans4Hindus has announced the launch of regional chapters in four northeastern U.S. states, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Maine, and Rhode Island, marking an expansion of its initiatives in the region.

The chapters were formally inaugurated at an event held at Vallabhdham Temple, where community members, organizers, and invited guests were in attendance.

The addition of the New England chapters extends its organizational network into the northeastern United States, where it plans to develop local engagement efforts and build state-level participation.

The event included remarks from Romesh Japra, founder and chairman of the group, who outlined its broader goal of encouraging involvement in public life and policy discussions.

“The future of our community depends not only on preserving our heritage, but on participating fully in the civic and political fabric of this nation. Through initiatives like this, we are empowering Hindu Americans to lead with confidence, conviction, and a deep commitment to democratic values,” said Japra.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by several Guests of Honor, including Vivek Desai, Indian Community Leader, Connecticut, Lakshmi Thalanki, President, A4H PAC Massachusetts Chapter, Pramit Maakoday – Global President, A4H PAC, and Jyotsna Vijaya Lakshmi Sharma, National Vice President, A4H PAC.

Lakshmi Thalanki, who has been involved in supporting expansion efforts, including the establishment of chapters in other U.S. states, also spoke at the event.

She highlighted the importance of Hindu Americans embracing their roles as responsible citizens by developing political awareness, actively engaging in civic duties, and contributing meaningfully to their communities.

She further emphasized that unity within the community is essential to achieving collective empowerment and building a strong, influential civic presence.

As part of the launch, the organization named four state-level leaders, Bharvi Parikh for Connecticut, Janmejay Sanatani for New Hampshire, Krishna Bhatta for Maine, and Pradeep Sharma for Rhode Island.

They are expected to oversee local outreach, community engagement, and coordination with the organization.

The launch of the New England chapters will help advance several key priorities, including strengthening Hindu representation in civic and political institutions, creating a unified and coordinated regional policy voice, cultivating future civic and political leaders from within the community, promoting awareness and advocacy against bias and misinformation, and expanding A4H’s organizational footprint across the Northeast.

Americans4Hindus has been expanding its presence across multiple U.S. states in recent years, with chapters established or planned in several regions.
