An Indian man who moved back to his home country after spending 25 years in the USA was so devastated by India's traffic that he started questioning the very move. For many diaspora community members, it is a long-standing dream to move back to India upon retirement. The social media user, identified as Naresh, has stoked a heated discussion about India's traffic as his X post went viral.
Naresh and his wife had moved back to India after spending over 2 decades in the USA. After the move, the duo was frequently asked about how life was in India, as most of their friends in the USA were also looking for a similar move.

Sharing a word of caution on X, "So many positives here, but you know what the deal breaker for many is? The horrendous traffic," he said.
Highlighting the significance of the contributions of NRIs and how traffic deters them from coming back, he said, "Just think about it, NRI's with dollars to contribute to the Indian economy, but not coming back because of our chaotic traffic. There are so many hidden costs to our bad traffic."
Responding to one of the comments, the user added, "It’s the chaos of Indian traffic that is frustrating. Ppl cutting left, right, honking etc.
I can handle Chicago traffic jams where everyone maintains lane discipline and there is order."
He called for ending the traffic issues on war footing and making the dream of coming back home an easier transition.
