Engineers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, led by Ritu Raman, have developed artificial muscle tissue capable of flexing in multiple directions, which could lead to advancements in soft robotics.
The innovation, described in a recent study published in Biomaterials Science, could enable biohybrid robots to move more naturally in complex environments.
