ROOH San Francisco presented a specially curated multi-course menu during Restaurant Week 2026, highlighting its signature approach of blending traditional Indian flavors with contemporary culinary techniques.
Designed by executive chef Ashish Tiwari, the limited-time offering delivered a refined dining experience that drew on regional influences while embracing modern presentation and global inspiration.
Chef Ashish Tiwari / HandoutStructured as a multi-course journey, the menu began with an amuse bouche and progressed through a series of dishes that emphasized layered flavors and textures. The opening course, Avocado Treat, featured a crisp phyllo shell filled with avocado chaat, paired with tamarind chutney, yogurt, and fresh herbs.
For appetizers, diners chose between the Beirut Mezze Chaat, a fusion dish combining Middle Eastern elements like chickpea tahini with Indian street food staples, and the Pondicherry Shrimp Malai, a coastal-inspired preparation showcasing shrimp in a coconut-based curry with curry leaves and spices.

The main course continued the restaurant’s modern Indian narrative, offering options such as Broccoli and Cauliflower Rezala in a light cashew-yogurt gravy, and Methi Malai Chicken prepared in a rich fenugreek cream sauce. These were served alongside signature accompaniments including Rooh daal, saffron rice, garlic naan, and plain naan.
The experience concluded with a contemporary dessert, Blueberry Rasmalai Cake, which reinterpreted the classic Indian sweet with layers of cardamom sponge, saffron-infused cream, and a blueberry reduction.
“This menu is a celebration of global influences interpreted through an Indian lens,” Chef Tiwari said. “Each dish is thoughtfully crafted to deliver a memorable dining experience that resonates with both tradition and innovation.”
Restaurant Week offered diners an opportunity to explore curated menus across the city, with ROOH’s offering presenting a modern perspective on Indian cuisine within San Francisco’s evolving culinary landscape.
