Kash Patel says FBI stopped 715 terror attacks in 2025
Patel issued a warning to fugitives and individuals accused of serious crimes, saying the FBI would continue pursuing them worldwide.

FBI Director Kash Patel has said the agency prevented 715 planned terrorist attacks on U.S. soil last year, crediting intelligence gathering, technology and partnerships with law enforcement agencies for disrupting threats before they could be carried out.
In a post on X, Patel said he was proud of the FBI and the work agents do every single day.

"Every terrorist attack stopped is a family that gets to go home," Patel said.
"This FBI disrupted 715 planned terrorist attacks in the last year alone. In just 30 days, we stopped four more targeting communities in California, Texas, Florida and New York before innocent Americans could be killed," he said.
Patel said the agency was using intelligence, advanced technology and close coordination with partner agencies to identify and stop threats before they materialize.

In a separate post, Patel issued a warning to fugitives and individuals accused of serious crimes, saying the FBI would continue pursuing them worldwide.
"We want traitors to know that there is no safe haven. We will give you no sanctuary," he said.
Highlighting the agency's international law enforcement efforts, Patel said the FBI had carried out nearly 30 foreign transfers of custody across more than 15 countries during July, involving individuals accused of drug trafficking, terrorism, murder and rape.
"So what I'm here to tell you today, for all these individuals that are on the run right now, you will not be on the run for long," he said.
"We will hunt you down in every corner of the planet, and we will return you here to face American justice."
Patel described the number of suspects returned to the United States from overseas as a record, attributing the outcome to cooperation with foreign governments.
"It is a direct result of President Donald Trump's relationships with foreign governments that allow us to work in spaces we were never permitted to work before," he said.
He added that law enforcement agencies were also working to recover money stolen from victims, particularly older Americans.

"Once they are in our justice system, we have seized these funds, and we are going to get them back to the senior citizens who were fleeced of their life savings and their retirements," Patel said.
Calling the protection of vulnerable people a central mission of law enforcement, Patel thanked the Justice Department, prosecutors, partner agencies and the White House for their cooperation.
"This FBI, along with our interagency partners, will not rest," he said, urging anyone with information about fugitives or criminal suspects to contact the agency through its public tip line.
