Indian film festival underway across Switzerland
The second edition of the festival is being held under the theme ‘India Through the Lens: Bollywood & Beyond.’

An Indian film festival organized by the Embassy of India in Switzerland began Feb. 28 and is currently underway across several Swiss cities, featuring screenings of Indian films through March 28.
The second edition of the ‘Indian Film Festival’ is being held under the theme ‘India Through the Lens: Bollywood & Beyond.’ The festival includes screenings in Berne, Zurich, Luzern, Lausanne, and Baden.

According to the embassy, the event showcases a range of Indian films as part of an effort to present Indian cinema to audiences across Switzerland. Entry to all screenings is free and open to the public.

The festival opened in Berne on Feb. 28 with a screening of ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge,’ followed by ‘The Diplomat’ on March 2. In Zurich, ‘Amaran’ was screened March 6 and ‘Tanvi the Great’ on March 7.
Screenings continued in Luzern with ‘Jawan’ on March 13 and ‘Srikanth’ on March 14. In Lausanne, ‘Kesari Chapter 2’ was shown March 19, followed by ‘Sardar Udham’ on March 20.
The final screenings are scheduled in Baden at Kino Trafo 3, Brown Boveri Platz 1. The film ‘A.R.M’ will be screened March 27 at 5 p.m., followed by ‘Chhaava’ on March 28 at 5 p.m.
The Embassy of India in Switzerland, which is concurrently accredited to the Principality of Liechtenstein, is organizing the festival as a monthlong series of screenings highlighting different genres of Indian cinema.
